Cesium Chloride

Cesium Chloride is the salt (chloride) form of the element cesium (Cs), which has an atomic number of 55. It is an alkaline element similar to sodium, potassium, and rubidium. It’s ability to penetrate the cell wall of cancer cells is one of the reasons that it is often recommended for “High pH Therapy”.

History of Cesium Chloride

Dr. Otto Warburg

Dr. Otto Warburg, a German physiologist and medical doctor, investigated the metabolism of tumors and the respiration of cells particularly cancer cells. In 1931 he was awarded the Nobel Prize for his “discovery of the nature and mode of action of the respiratory enzyme”. Dr Warburg is known for creating the Warburg Hypothesis, also known as the Warburg Theory of Cancer, which postulates that the source of tumor growth is an insufficient cellular respiration.

Below is an excerpt from Dr. Warburgs lecture delivered to Nobel Laureates on June 30, 1966 at Lindau, Lake Constance, Germany:

Cancer, above all other diseases, has countless secondary causes. Almost anything can cause cancer. But, even for cancer, there is only one prime cause. The prime cause of cancer is the replacement of the respiration of oxygen (oxidation of sugar) in normal body cells by fermentation of sugar.

All normal body cells meet their energy needs by respiration of oxygen, whereas cancer cells meet their energy needs in great part by fermentation. All normal body cells are thus obligate aerobes, whereas all cancer cells are partial anaerobes. From the standpoint of the physics and chemistry of life this difference between normal and cancer cells is so great that one can scarcely picture a greater difference. Oxygen gas, the donor of energy in plants and animals, is dethroned in the cancer cells and replaced by the energy yielding reaction of the lowest living forms, namely the fermentation of sugar.

Aubrey Keith Brewer, Ph.D

Dr. Brewer, another pioneer in pH and cancer research, founded of the Brewer International Science Library. Dr. Brewer had a lifelong desire to understand the life processes of living cells. He developed his theory “High pH Cancer Therapy with Cesium” because of the research conducted on the physics of the cell membrane.

Below is an excerpt for Dr. Brewers book entitled “The High pH Therapy for Cancer Tests on Mice and Humans“:

Mass spectrographic and isotope studies have shown that potassium, rubidium, and especially cesium are most efficiently taken up by cancer cells. This uptake was enhanced by Vitamins A and C as well as salts of zinc and selenium. The quantity of cesium taken up was sufficient to raise the cell to the 8 pH range, where cell mitosis ceases and the life of the cell is short.

Tests on mice fed cesium and rubidium showed marked shrinkage in the tumor masses within 2 weeks. In addition, the mice showed none of the side effects of cancer. Tests have been carried out on over 30 humans. In each case the tumor masses disappeared. Also all pains and effects associated with cancer disappeared within 12 to 36 hours. The more chemotherapy and morphine the patient had taken, the longer the withdrawal period.

Studies of the food intake in areas where the incidences of cancer are very low showed that it met the requirements for the high pH therapy.

H.E. Sartori, MD

Dr. H.E. Sartori conducted a series of studies on cancer patients of various stages using Cesium Chloride. These studies were performed under Dr. Sartori’s direction, initiated in April, 1981.

Twenty-eight patients were initially treated with Cesium Chloride between April, 1981 to October, 1982. They were subjected to various cancer therapies, e.g., surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, and were considered terminal cases with metastatic disease except for 3 patients who were not previously treated. Three patients were comatose at the time of the Cesium treatment. Thirteen patients died within less than 2 weeks of treatment. Each patient showed a reduction in tumor mass by the Cesium-treatment.

Of the breast cancer patients, the most impressive effect was seen on a female patient who was comatose at the beginning of the Cesium-treatment and was considered a terminal case.

Nutrients and Cancer: An Introduction to Cesium Therapy

The pharmacologic properties of various food ingredients are discussed. Establishing of a special diet for the cancer patient is suggested. In addition, avoidance of certain foods is recommended to counteract mucus production of cancer cells. Evaluation of the nutrient content of certain diets in regions with low incidence of cancer has advanced the use of certain alkali metals, i.e., rubidium and cesium, as chemotherapeutic agents.

The rationale for this approach, termed the “high pH” therapy, resides in changing the acidic pH range of the cancer cell by cesium (or rubidium) towards weak alkalinity in which the survival of the cancer cell is endangered, and the formation of acidic and toxic materials, normally formed in cancer cells, is neutralized and eliminated.

Dr. David W. Gregg Ph.D.

David Gregg was a retired chemist and chemical engineer who was committed to researching the illness and issues that haunt our society, including cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, Crohn’s disease, and various autoimmune disorders. He wrote (and continuously updated until his death in 2011) a journal of his cancer research, titled The Proposed Common Cause and Cure for All Forms of Cancer. He also designed the multi-vitamin and mineral supplement Sparx, which is now available under the name Essense Health Blend.

In “The High pH Therapy for Cancer Tests on Mice and Humans”, Dr. Brewer discusses his results using cesium chloride to treat cancer. David Gregg, Ph.D. believes his explanation as to the mechanism by which it operates is not correct. In his

Proposed Common Cause and Cure for All Forms of Cancer excerpt:
Cancer does not cause cells to turn anaerobic, but rather it is stabilized anaerobic metabolism that is the single cause that turns the normal cells that depend on aerobic metabolism into cancer cells. The proposed cure, as an alternative to protocols that focus on killing the cancer cells, is to restart aerobic metabolism, which allows the cells to revert back to being quasi-normal cells again. Genetic damage is not corrected, but if the cells are held in a normal state of aerobic metabolism, with time they will go through the normal process of programmed cell death (apoptosis) and the cancer cells are permanently eliminated. For the proposed cure, the task is to walk through each step of aerobic metabolism, identify the nutrient that stimulates/assists it, and combine them all in a dietary/treatment protocol.

As the founder of the Brewer Science Library, Dr. Keith Brewer had a life long desire to understand the life process of living cells. In later writing, Dr. Brewer wrote: “The goal of the high pH therapy is the transport of large quantities of Cs+ Rb+ and glucose-free K+ across the membranes of cancer cells. During high pH therapy, Dr. H. Cesium Therapy in Cancer Patients

This PubMed scientific research article presents the findings of a total of 50 patients who were treated over a 3 year period with CsCl. The majority of the patients have been unresponsive to previous maximal modalities of cancer treatment and were considered terminal cases. The Cs-treatment consisted of CsCl in addition to some vitamins, minerals, chelating agents and salts of selenium, potassium and magnesium.

Cesium as a Cancer Supplement
