A History of Rife Frequencies

Royal Rife was a researcher who studied viruses and bacteria. By using the principle that every molecule vibrates at a unique frequency, Rife discovered that when increasing the intensity of the frequency at which a microbe resonates, it disintegrates from structural stresses. Through his research, he was able to discover Rife Frequencies. Rife Frequencies are the mortal oscillatory rates for many viruses. Rife designed a frequency generating device named the Rife Machine based on his observations on frequencies and harmonics. Unfortunately, much of his work was lost or destroyed during his lifetime.

Today, echoing Rife’s research into the power of frequencies, the emerging fields of electro-medicine and Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) Therapy provide a new approach to disease modification. Modern day Rife devices are able to transmit a range of frequencies through through the body via a handheld device or whole-body mat.

Royal Rife: Award-Winning Researcher

Royal Rife, born in 1888, was a gifted scientist and researcher. His revolutionary discoveries in the invisible realm of viruses and bacteria were actively suppressed and largely forgotten until recently.

Rife studied bacteriology at John Hopkins University and the University of Heidelberg, as well as in his own research laboratory. For 6 years, he studied the field of optics with Hans Luckel who was Carl Zeiss’s optical scientist and researcher. He made all the photomicrographs for the Atlas of Parasites which was done at the University of Heidelberg. He also studied eye surgery for two years.

His inquisitive mind led him to master many different scientific and technical disciplines. Whenever he needed to perform a new task, he simply invented the technology and built the equipment himself. Some if his technological inventions are still used today in the fields of optics, electronics, radiochemistry, biochemistry, ballistics, and aviation.

During the 66 years that Rife spent designing and building medical instruments, he worked for Zeiss Optics, the U.S. Government, and several private benefactors. He also worked alongside the top scientists and doctors of his day. He received 14 major awards and honors, including an honorary Doctorate by the University of Heidelberg, and a Research Fellowship in Bio-Chemistry from the nationally-known Andean Anthropological Expedition, Institute for Scientific Research.

Rife Research Laboratories

Royal Rife had one of the best privately equipped laboratories in the world at the time, complete with a million volt X-ray, frequency instruments, electronic test equipment, microscopes, glass blowing equipment, a surgical room for animals, a pathology room complete with microscopes of all types, precision tools and equipment necessary to make instruments, and virus microscopes which he had designed and built for his research. He also had a stop motion microscope set up for the life study of microorganisms from the cradle to the grave. None of this equipment was available on the open market, so he had to design and build these instruments to accomplish what he wanted to attain with his research.

Rife had various laboratories around the country, including the Rife Research Laboratory, The Point Loma Lab, The Rife Virus Microscope Institute, a microscope and dark room facility at San Diego. He also had three human research clinics, including one at the University of Southern California.

The Discovery of Rife Frequencies

In 1920, Rife began to experiment with the effects of electronic frequencies upon bacteria and viruses. With these “Rife Frequencies”, he discovered how to make normally invisible microbes visible. Illuminating each one with the light frequency that matched their own unique resonance frequency caused them to glow. He also built the world’s first virus microscope which allowed him to study these microorganisms in their living environment. By 1933, he had constructed the incredibly complex Universal Microscope. It had nearly 6,000 different parts and was capable of magnifying objects up to 60,000 times their normal size.

Rife learned that when he intensified the frequencies he used to observe the viruses and bacteria, they either burst or became inanimate. This led to the development of a remarkable way of selectively destroying these bacteria and viruses: by subjecting them to an intensified version of their own resonant frequency, much the same way a wine glass can be shattered when an opera singer hits the right note.

Frequency of a Molecule

Every molecule vibrates, or oscillates, at its own unique frequency and resonates with that frequency. The bacteria and viruses Rife studied are invisible to the human eye because they are in the ultraviolet spectrum and don’t reflect light. So, Rife devised a way to focus light into wavelengths that resonated with the signature frequency of the viruses and bacteria he was studying, “which illuminates these virus in their own characteristic chemical colors by emission of coordinative light frequency” making the virus “readily identifiable by the colors revealed”.

These viruses and bacteria are so small that they cannot be seen with an ordinary microscope: “8000 to 17000x magnification is sufficient to see them”. Rife’s invented and built his Universal Microscope to see and study these microbes in their living environment. Today’s modern electron microscopes cannot even duplicate this feat. They instantly kill everything beneath them, leaving only the dead remains to view.

Mortal Oscillatory Rates

The same principle which made living microbes visible was also used to kill them: resonant frequency. When increasing the intensity of the frequency at which a microbe resonates at, it’s natural oscillation also increases, causing it to distort and disintegrate from structural stresses. Rife named this intensified frequency the mortal oscillatory rate, or “MOR”, and isolated the MOR frequencies of 52 viruses, including typhoid, tuberculosis, and cancer.

An intense musical note can shatter a wine glass in the same way: the molecules of the glass are already oscillating at some harmonic (multiple) of that musical note; they are in resonance with it. Because everything else has a different resonant frequency, nothing but the glass is destroyed. Rife explained by saying that he used the “theory of coordinative resonance with frequencies which I proved would kill microorganisms by electron transfer and internal stresses of pathogenic cells owing to electromagnetic and electrostatic forces”. Today his discoveries are known as Rife Frequencies.

Pleomorphic Nature of Viruses

While researching with his microscopes, Rife observed that viruses “are released from bacteria just as a chicken lays an egg”. He also observed the pleomorphic nature of viruses. One virus form could change into another virus form, and back into its original form, depending upon the medium in which it grew.

Rife stated that the chemical constituents of a virus enact upon an unbalanced cell metabolism in the body could produce any disease that may occur. He could reproduce all the symptoms of a disease chemically without inoculating any virus or bacteria into the test animals. Rife also isolated a microbe he named the BX cancer virus (though not a virus by today’s standards) which he was able to use to reproduce cancer.

Development of the Rife Machine

Rife developed his Rife Machine to generate these resonant Rife Frequencies for treating patients suffering from a wide range of diseases which he attributed to pleomorphic (form-changing) viruses.

In 1931, forty-four of the nation’s most respected medical authorities honored Royal Rife with a banquet billed as “The End To All Diseases”. The event was held at the Pasadena estate of Dr. Milbank Johnson (Director of the Southern California AMA). In 1934, the University of Southern California appointed a Special Medical Research Committee to bring terminal cancer patients from Pasadena County Hospital to Rife’s San Diego Laboratory and clinic for treatment using his Rife Machine frequency generator instrument. After a four month period, the total recovery rate using Rife’s technology was reported to be one hundred percent.

The Safety of Rife Frequencies

Rife observed that viruses and bacteria could be selectively destroyed because each oscillates at a frequency unique from any other microbe. Subjecting them to an intensified version of that resonant frequency destroys them without harming anything else.

Human cells and disease producing organisms oscillate at very different frequencies. Our bodies’ cells have built in safeguards that help prevent them from being affected by potentially harmful frequencies. Even the good bacteria in our systems have their own resonant frequencies, but these do not overlap with the frequencies of harmful bacteria. When diseased cells die, though, they release their toxins into the system. If too many toxins are released at once, it is a burden on the immune system, which may be already impaired by sickness. Short duration sessions (usually 8 minutes) are recommended to give the immune system a chance to work effectively and recuperate.

The Suppression of Royal Rife, Rife Frequencies, and the Rife Machine

By 1939, almost all those who had once worked with Rife were denying that they had even met him. Gradually, components, stop-motion photographs, film, written records, and other evidence of Rife’s work, meticulously accumulated over two decades, began disappearing from his lab. Parts of his 5,682 piece Universal Microscope were stolen. Rife struggled to reproduce his missing data at a time when copy machines and computers did not yet exist. Finally, police ransacked Rife’s lab and illegally confiscated the remainder of his years of research. Morris Fishbein, sole stockholder of the American Medical Association (AMA), sent an attorney to Rife with a token buyout offer, which Rife refused.

Just as the scientists at the multi-million dollar Burnett Lab in New Jersey were preparing to announce confirmation of Rife’s work, an arson fire destroyed it. Doctors who tried to defend Rife lost their foundations grants and hospital privileges. Agents of a family which controlled the drug industry brought a frivolous lawsuit against Beam Ray Corporation, the only company manufacturing Rife’s frequency instruments, ending production.

Medical journals, supported by drug company revenues and controlled by the AMA, refused to publish any papers on Rife’s therapy. Arthur Kendall, the Director of the Northwestern School of Medicine who had worked with Rife on the cancer virus, accepted an exorbitant amount of money to suddenly ‘retire’ in Mexico. Dr. George Dock, another prominent figure who collaborated with Rife, was silenced with an enormous grant and the highest honors the AMA could bestow.

In 1942, Dr. Milbank Johnson announced that his University of California study had duplicated Rife’s results using specific frequencies to eliminate cancer. He was fatally poisoned just hours before the press conference was to begin.

A New Rife Machine

In the 1950s, Royal Rife and engineer John Crane developed a new type of frequency therapy device using electrodes placed on the body to administer the resonance waves. By 1960, Crane had written and copyrighted a manual which explained how the frequency instrument was to be used. Ninety instruments had been distributed for research and verification on notarized contracts.

Rife contacted several government agencies including The Department of Health, Education and Welfare; the National Research Council Committee; The American Cancer Society; and The International Cancer Clinic asking them to test his electronic frequency-generator to determine its effect upon diseases. Only the American Cancer Society express a willingness to try a test. That is, until they found out that Rife and John Crane were not medical doctors.

Then the AMA struck again. In 1960, John Crane’s laboratories were raided without a search warrant. Over $40,000 in machines, frequency instruments, and one large Rife ray tube instrument were taken. In addition, years worth of engineering data, research records and reports, pictures off the wall, private letters, invoices, tape recordings, and electronic parts were either confiscated or smashed.

Rife, now 72 years old, went into hiding in Mexico. Crane was taken to trial in the spring of 1961. The large amount of scientific evidence supporting the therapy’s effectiveness was not permitted to be introduced at the trial. Neither were the answers to 137 questions that Crane’s defense lawyer had asked Rife about his inventions. John Crane was sentenced to 10 years in prison of which he served 3 years and 1 month. As in 1939, doctors who were experimenting with the machines were forced them to abandon them. In the end, Royal Rife died in 1971 at the age of 83.

Rife’s Legacy

Royal Rife’s achievements have only recently become public knowledge again. Two books have been published detailing his life and work. The first was The Cancer Cure That Worked: Fifty Years of Suppression by Barry Lynes. This was followed by Royal R. Rife: Humanitarian, Betrayed and Persecuted by Gerald F. Foye. While Rife’s research remains taboo to mainstream medicine, there are an increasing number of European clinics embracing the technology. More and more people are being helped as part of a prescribed treatment program complimenting traditional medicine.

Today, electro-medicine is an emerging field of therapy which provides a new approach to disease modification, providing a safe, easy, non-invasive way to help relieve pain and inflammation. Some believe that it is not the resonance, but electrochemical changes in cell membranes which affect their pumping mechanisms. Other factors produced by the frequency machines, such as electromagnetism, sound waves, and light may also play a role.

The TENS unit was the first device approved based on this technology. Many people achieve pain relief with the device, even though the power is low and the frequencies are limited.

Echoing Rife’s research, PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) devices use electrical energy to create a series of low frequency magnetic pulses that penetrate every cell, stimulating internal electrical and chemical processes.

Many studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of PEMF in healing soft-tissue wounds, suppressing inflammatory responses at the cell membrane level to alleviate pain, and increasing range of motion in arthritis sufferers. PEMF devices are even used by professional athletes to increase endurance, enhance performance, and speed recovery.

Two Modern “Rife Machines” Based on Rife’s Original Research

After Rife’s death, his friends and associates wanted to continue his work. They were very clear about what they wanted: a vacuum tube-based instrument, fully manual, with improvements on what they had in hand. This was the era of transistorized equipment, which was much easier to build, but they insisted that the old-style analog instrument was very significant to Rife’s results. Rife did not recognize this, as he had only analog available at the time. John Wright was hired in 1986 to build a new modern version of the original Rife Machine.

JWLabs

JWLabs was founded by inventor John Wright. Wright began to manufacture his own line of Rife machines in 1987 based on his research as well as contacts with friends and colleagues of Dr. Royal Rife. He first developed a fully manual analog device true to the original Rife technology, but with much more refinement. Then, in 2004, he launched a new, more affordable and user-friendly model with solid state technology, which still maintained the high integrity and robust signal of the original analog model.

John Wright continued to develop the technology to improve ease-of-use and convenience to fulfill his mission of bringing Rife technology to the mainstream.
